Touch the Pacific Ocean...Run to the Top of
Saddleback Mountain
Welcome to Saltwater5000.com. Saltwater 5000 is
an endurance run started in 2004 by two Orange County runners, Will Cooper
and Jeff Padilla. The run starts at the shore of the Pacific Ocean
and ends at the highest point in Orange County -- the top of Saddleback
Mountain. Many have asked us why we do this. To that we say...why
not? Life is a journey. Peering down from the top of a mountain 5,687'
high to the ocean 32 miles away and touched just a few hours earlier gives
a fresh perspective on life.
